Malala Yousafzai announced her wedding on Twitter, sharing pictures of a ceremony, Asser Malik, her husband, and members of her family. The girls’ rights activist and Nobel Laureate attained an international appreciation for her stance against the Taliban’s efforts to stop girls from joining schools in her hometown in Pakistan.

Malala Yousafzai, 24, posted photos of the simple marriage ceremony on Twitter. She was dazzling in a pink suit with simple jewelry. Malala Yousafzai is seen attending her wedding formalities at her Birmingham home in the company of Malik, who is on vacation in England.

Malik is at present a senior official in the cricket board back in his country. Malala Tweeted that today marked a special day in her life. She wrote that she and Malik were now life partners.

She said that a small nikah ceremony was famous at her home in the presence of family members. She requested her well-wishers to send their prayers. She expressed her excitement that the two planned in their lives.

Malala Yousafzai is a keen cricket fan. She is a fan of the Pakistani team. Malala Yousafzai had met Malik a associate of years back. They stayed in touch since then and remained close friends. They later wedded with the approval of both families.

In an exclusive interview with Vogue, Malala Yousafzai opened up that she wasn’t sure about ever getting married. Malala, a graduate from Oxford, went on record to question the need for marriage. She had then said that two people could stay just partners without having a formal marriage.

Malala was seriously wounded when the Taliban ordered her execution for recommending girls’ education in her town in Pakistan. She was taken to England for extensive treatment.

She was the youngest recipient of the Nobel Prize in 2014 at the age of 17. She jointly won the peace prize along with Indian Kailash Satyarthi. Malala Yousafzai graduated in 2020 with Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University.
